He and Champ have become best friends. They play all day long. Yesterday we took Max on his first walk through the neighborhood on a leash. He did really well but he didn't enjoy the walk as much as Champ. Champ always loves going on walks but Max didn't think it was very fair. He had to take 5 steps for every 1 of Champs. By the end of the walk, Max was pathetic. He was so tired as soon as we went inside, he fell asleep. Check out our pics of Max and Champ...

Adam's Graduation

We had a pretty funny weekend. We planned on spending the weekend with Chris' family at the family farm to celebrate his cousin's graduation. Adam graduated from Texas A&M Commerce. So on Friday, Chris gets a call from his friend Bryan that the minister that was supposed to be marrying him on Saturday had kidney stones and the pastor of his church was already doing a funeral. He asked Chris to do the wedding and of course, Chris said yes, he would be happy to do it! So we drove on Friday to the rehearsal and then to the family farm. On Saturday, we went to graduation, ate lunch, and drove to the wedding just in time for Chris to marry them. We felt terrible for Bryan and Bretney but Chris did a great job. In the end...Adam graduated and Bryan and Bretney are married so the weekend turned out great! Here are some pics...

Our niece - Annabelle

Chris has taken up a new hobby of editing photographs. I took this picture of Annabelle at Lou's wedding and he edited it. He made the picture black and white, except for Annabelle's beautiful blue eyes. I think it looks amazing!

Our New Puppy!!!

On Saturday, I surprised Chris with a Beagle puppy named Max! He was soooo excited! Max is tan and white with green eyes, 7 weeks old, and quite the whiner! We are in the process of trying to potty train and crate train him. It was too short but very relaxing!

Chicago Mission Trip

Chris and I left on Sunday, June 22nd to go to Chicago for a mission trip. 26 others went with us including my mom and brothers. This was our 3rd year to serve at the Agape Center in inner city Chicago. Everyone was extremely excited about going back to see all the kids. In Chicago we put on a Day Camp all week playing and loving on the kids while teaching them the realness of Christ's love for them. Unfortunately, I got really sick and my mom and I had to fly home on Monday. BUT... Everyone had a blast and allowed Christ to use them all week to show the kids His love for them.

Lou Lou's Wedding

It was a big weekend in the Hurst family as Bob and Laurie married off the last of the kids. Most of all, we really learned a lot about marriage and that we aren't nearly as smart as we thought we were!

Pictures from the Gaylord

Laying Tile

Chris' parents decided to lay new ceramic tile in the kitchen and laundry room. Of course, that is what happens when you live in Texas. It's completely unpredictable! Last week, we had snow flurries on Monday, Tuesday was in the 80's, Wednesday it cooled down again, and Thursday we had a blizzard! We got over 7 inches of snow at our house and school was delayed on Friday. Our animals haven't ever experienced snow like that before so that was interesting. Fletch, our cat, jumped in it ONCE and thought the snow was attacking him as it was flying up around him. He kept swatting at it to try to keep it away from him, but of course that didn't work. Champ absolutely loved it. It was like a kid in a candy store! He ran around the yard probably 50 times, diving in it and eating it. The Jim and Jim production at church was a big hit! Chris and Jerry, "Jim and Jim" did an awesome job and over 2000 people came to Paradise, Texas for the craziest Christmas show ever. 57 people committed their lives to Christ which was phenomenal! God is good ALL the time! The last show was on Christmas Eve so we decided to stay home for Christmas this year and spent Christmas Day at my parents house. We flew to England from DFW, then took a train to Middlesboro where we met our host for the week. My host's were incredible people and a blessing to say with. I spent Friday in a school outside of Middlesboro. I, along with three others from the group, talked to students in a Religious Education class about why we are theist and why we are Christ followers. The students had some very impressive questions and we did our best to answer them to the best of our ability. Saturday, we went sight seeing with our hosts and went to a Futbol Match after lunch. I really enjoyed getting to spend time in around the people and culture of England. Sunday, I preached at Berwick Hills Baptist Church then traveled by train to London. Sunday night we ate Mexican food at the Texas Embassy, then went and watched the Cowboys game. Monday, we spend the day sight seeing in London. Monday night, I saw Robert Redford and Tom Cruise in the Picadilly Circus area. They were there promoting their new movie, Lions for Lambs. Tuesday morning, we woke up early and got on a train to head to the Airport. We flew home and arrived mid-afternoon on Tuesday, Oct. 23. It was a great trip.

We went to the Texas A&M and Oklahoma State football game in College Station. We have a new cat named Fletch. We got the cat from The Johnson Family several weeks ago and I gotta say he's a pretty cool cat. I am pretty sure he thinks he is a dog though. He loves Champ and Champ tolerates him. When we first got him, he was still barely weened and every time he got hungry he would try to nurse on Champ. Champ was not a fan. It's pretty funny though to look outside and watch our cat and dog play chase - and the cat doing the chasing half the time. Welcome to the family Fletch!

I almost forgot to explain the title...
